What is in it

Three items make up the ingredient list, with nothing past them:

  • Nonfat Greek yogurt
  • Banana
  • Peanut butter, which is dry roasted peanuts and sea salt

Because of the yogurt and the peanuts, this flavor contains dairy and peanuts. It is not a single ingredient treat. If your dog does not do well with peanuts, Pumpkin and Apple has no peanuts, though it still has dairy. If dairy is the problem, neither flavor fits.

The freeze dryer pulls the water out of the mix, leaving crisp pieces that keep their shape at room temperature. That is why this dog ice cream lives in the pantry and not the freezer. The home page explains the idea in a minute.

Questions about Banana Peanut Butter

What is it made of?

Nonfat Greek yogurt, banana and peanut butter, and the peanut butter is just dry roasted peanuts with sea salt. That is the full list.

Does it contain peanuts or dairy?

Yes to both: peanuts from the peanut butter and dairy from the yogurt.

Is it frozen?

No. It is freeze-dried, so it keeps at room temperature and has nothing in it that can melt.

How many pieces should I give?

Our training guide is 1 to 3 small pieces a session, adjusted for your dog's size and activity. At about 117.6 kcal an ounce, small pieces are plenty.

How big is the bag?

2.5 oz. Our Pumpkin and Apple bag is 1 oz because the two recipes have very different densities: the pumpkin pieces are much lighter for their size.

Where is it made?

In small batches in Malvern, Pennsylvania, and shipped by Sniff and Shift.
